Boot Camp’s Mock Thanksgiving Practice Run

Let your kids help in the kitchen. Start them at a young age and they will be less likely to be pickey eaters.

Let your kids help in the kitchen. Start them off young and they will less likely become pickey eaters.

Alfred had a great idea…. “Let’s prepare a Healthy Thanksgiving Menu and invite the campers over for a Cooking Party”.  I said, “Great Idea!”

Here’s today’s Menu….

  • Marinated/Soaked, Baked, then Barbeque/Smoked Turkey (Alfred’s secret recipe)
  • Replace Green Bean Cassarole & Deep Fried Onion Rings with…  Honey Mustard glazed Green Beans
  • Replace Sweet Potatos swimming in Butter, Brown Sugar, and topped with Marshmellows with…. Apricot and Cranberry glazed Sweet Potatos
  • Replace Pumpkin Pie and Busquits with…. Flax Seed Pumpkin Muffins (Melanie’s daughter, Maya, loves it with Orange Cranberry Relish from Trader Joe’s.  Also great topped on Turkey instead of Cranberry Sauce.)

We were satisfied, not too full, or lethargic.  Just Right!

Find all of these recipes and others on the “Recipes Delish” TAB above.  Enjoy!
